Adventures of a Sailor Girl hits Gothenburg, Sweden for the finish of Leg 9 and the Stopover

The Sailor Girl is Nic Douglass, a Sydney based sailor, sailing commentator and icon of the Sydney and Australian sailing scene. With the assistance of GAC Pindar she has been in Gothenburg, Sweden covering the Volvo Ocean Race stopover.

Nic had a great catch up over coffee with Charlie Enright and Will Oxley, still on a high after their win in Leg 9, but getting back to business leading into the In-Port race which will decide whether they finish fourth or fifth overall.

We chatted about the team, about how others might be able to develop themselves to get involved with the race, and also whether we will see them attack Mapfre in the In-Port race on Saturday!

Nic is a former two-time World and six-time Australian champion in the Tasar class, and has competed in women's match racing on the Olympic and world circuit.
