(L-R) Stephanie Norton, Marian Williams, Thomas Norton - 58th HK Festival of Sport Open Dinghy Regatta J-Asia
J-Asia sailors retained their dominance within the Hong Kong Laser fleet by capturing the Gold, Silver and Bronze places in the Laser Radial and Open II Fleet at the 58th Hong Kong Festival of Sport Open Dinghy Regatta, sponsored by Samsung. The HK Sailing Federation event took place 13-14 June in Port Shelter, Hong Kong.

This year's regatta was a multi-class event featuring dinghies from a variety of classes including Optimists, 420s, 470s, 29ers, Lasers and RS Fevas as well as the 2.4M. The regatta was a key HKSF selection event for the Laser Radials, 420s and the 29ers for representation in international regattas, and was a ranking event for the Hong Kong Optimist Dinghy Association.

J-Asia's Nicholas Bezy made his debut in the Laser Radial by winning all six races to nail the Gold in his division, as did former rival Marian Williams, who dominated the Laser 4.7 races to achieve Gold place in the Open II Fleet.

Capturing Silver and Bronze in the Laser Radial Fleet were J-Asia sailors Riley Cameron and Christopher Bezy (also making his debut in the Laser Radial). J-Asia siblings, Thomas and Stephanie Norton, won the Open II Fleet Silver and Bronze medals, respectively. Marian Williams and the Nortons triumphed in the Laser 4.7, Laser 2000 and RS Feva in a true multi-class open event.

Claiming victory in the Optimist division were Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club sailors Duncan Gregor in first, Thorwen Uiterwaal in second, and J-Asia's Nancy Highfield in third.
