Competitors who are considering entering the 2015 Sunshine Coast Ocean Regatta and/or IRC Queensland State Titles are encouraged to get their entries in soon as Early Bird fees finish on Friday 19th June.

This year the 2015 IRC Qld State Titles will be run in conjunction with SCOR. The IRC State Titles will be held over 4th and 5th July with SCOR running concurrently from 4th to 8th July 2015. This is an ideal time to escape the southern Winter with temperatures in Mooloolaba ranging between 10 to 20 degrees at this time of year.

Competitors can combine racing with a holiday and enjoy all the attractions that Mooloolaba offers – beautiful beaches, parks and walking tracks, loads of great restaurants and plenty for the kids to do.

The Mooloolaba Marina at the end of Parkyn Parade where SCOR and IRC will be held is one of the most beautiful in Australia and features the iconic “The Yacht Club”, the traditional home of sailing on the Sunshine Coast. The Club was purpose built for sailing and many years of great sailing have been celebrated within the building and its gardens overlooking the marina. The Club is very family friendly, there is a fine selection of drinks and food including fresh Mooloolaba seafood and plenty of off-street parking.

The Sunshine Coast Yacht Club is very proud of being able to continue the tradition of competitive sailing at the Club while offering a very friendly social environment. Since its incorporation in 2006, the Sunshine Coast Yacht Club has grown its fleet and membership to a level where it offers a very competitive sailing program.

The open waters of Mooloolaba offer beautiful sailing conditions where dolphins, turtles and whales are often sighted. Sailing back into the entrance of the Mooloolah River offers sailors beautiful views of the Mooloolaba lighthouse and beaches. The entrance to the River is also currently being dredged, the timing of which could not be better for the SCOR/IRC Regattas.
