Realidade virtual mostra imagens nunca registradas da Volvo Ocean Race

A Volvo Ocean Race, Scopic e o Team SCA se juntaram para lançar o primeiro vídeo em 360 graus e realidade virtual da história da navegação oceânica. Imagens dos mares do Sul e do Cabo Horn são impressionantes

O grau de realidade do vídeo da quinta etapa da Volvo Ocean Race, entre Auckland (Nova Zelândia) e Itajaí (Brasil), é impressionante. A travessia do oceano mais perigoso do mundo foi gravada a bordo de Team SCA. Lançado nesta sexta-feira (29) na littlestar.com (ver aqui), o material mostra as dificuldades da equipe 100% feminina nos gelados mares do Sul.

Não foi apenas o primeiro vídeo de navegação oceânica em 360º em realidade virtual, mas também a primeira gravação do Cabo Horn com a técnica. A produção, realizada entre Volvo Ocean Race, Team SCA, e a produtora Scopic, mostra alguns dos lugares mais remotos do planeta.

“O Cabo Horn nunca foi gravado em 360º, e a produção é tão difícil que havia dúvidas se seria possível fazer nas condições complicadas. A Anna Lena Ellend - repórter a bordo do Team SCA - trabalhou com seis câmeras independentes”, explicou Yori van Gerven, fundador do www.scopic.nl.

O vídeo permite ver o que passa a bordo em 360º utilizando as setas que aparecem na tela pelo mouse ou arrastrando a imagem nos aplicativos de celular com o Google Chrome e Android.

Para desfrutar da experiência de realidade virtual é necessário ver o vídeo com dispositivos como Google Cardboard ou óculos de realidade virtual.
