Close competition at the 2014 Yachting NSW Youth Championships Robin Evans
Georges River Sailing Club on Sydney’s Botany Bay will once again be hosting the Yachting NSW Youth Championships, one of the largest youth sailing regattas in the country, over the long weekend 3rd – 5th October.

This annual event is a highlight of the sailing calendar and regularly attracts over 350 entries in eight different classes. Ages eight - eighteen participate with great support from friends and family who cheer on future world champions and Olympians.

An exciting regatta where competitors race against their friends, challenge teams from other clubs and states, then get back to the beach to relax and hit the BBQ queue!

Entries will open mid-June and the Notice of Race is on the website now. Competitors are then encouraged to enter online as early as possible to make the planning easier. Volunteers are always needed to make this event successful and they can register now on the regatta website to help out.

Competitors, supporters and family can follow the action on social media and on the Youth Championships website. Details on the host club and information for those traveling to the championships are also available online now.

Yachting NSW is a not for profit organisation responsible for the administration, promotion and advancement of the sport of sailing at all levels throughout NSW.
