Oracle Team USA became the first team to splash an AC45 in the 2017 America's Cup venue in Bermuda.
Sailing trials are expected to be held soon.

Emirates Team New Zealand are expected to be next team to sail a foiling AC45 when a test team trials their converted AC45 in England. The AC45 was originally bound for Cagliari, Italy but was diverted to England after the first AC45 World Series event was cancelled after the withdrawal of Luna Rossa just before Easter 2015.
The boat will be sailed by a test crew initially in England as the boat was rushed through the conversion process for Cagliari, and shipped straight from Auckland without any sea trials in New Zealand.
