BRIG makes Mornington new VIC home base

by Sirocco Marine on 21 Apr 2015
The new home of BRIG in Victoria. Sirocco Marine
Sirocco Marine has taken on a new dealer in Melbourne, long-time RIB specialist and avid boating proponent, Jeremy Wiggs of Inflatable Boat Worx, Mornington.

Now known as Sirocco Marine Melbourne, the dealership is strategically located at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula and less than an hour from the Melbourne CBD.

“This is the location of our existing business which already has an extensive customer base that we will definitely grow with the Sirocco Marine products, particularly BRIG,” says Jeremy.

Jeremy has been involved in the marine industry since leaving high school. “I did a resort management course specialising in diving and boating, got my commercial boat driving ticket and never looked back,” he says. “I fell into working with inflatable boats and in love with diving out of them! I have been working with inflatables since 2004 and I still really enjoy it.”

Having worked with RIBs for many years, Jeremy was familiar with the BRIG range. “But it wasn’t until I had a brand new BRIG in the shop that a customer owned and we were installing an outboard for them that I realised the quality and versatility of the brand. Nearly every person wanted to know more about the BRIG! You certainly can’t argue with a product that has such showroom appeal as that.

“The guys at Sirocco Marine are fantastic to deal with too so it all just made sense.”

Boasting an enormous model range, BRIG backs up the product quality with expert sales personnel, plus excellent after sales service and support.

“They are also very progressive with their development of new boats and listening to what their customers have to say. They really do build boats for the people. And the Brig Eagle 780 is one impressive boat on the water! It looks fantastic and rides so comfortably.”

In Jeremy’s opinion, the Sirocco brand compliment provides “a RIB for every market”.

“From the Sirocco branded range to the Williams Jet Tender and Sealegs amphibious boats, there are boats I see being real winners here in Victoria. The larger trailerable models ln the 6-metre range will be the ones to watch.”

A regular boatie himself, Jeremey is on the water as much as time allows. “I love spending time on the water – it’s the reason I do what I do. I love fishing, diving and spearfishing and a boat makes all these pastimes easier. There is no better dive boat than a RIB. I can’t wait to get a BRIG set up with some gadgets and spend some time on the water putting it through its paces.

“Wilsons Promontory is a favourite boating destination of mine along with the south coast of NSW – actually I’m pretty happy being on a boat anywhere!”
