Thirty Eight Yachts compete in the Manly Yacht Club Helly Hansen Women’s Challenge 2015. The twenty year anniversary was a celebration enjoying a record fleet. Two classes of yachts separated into two divisions, plus a fleet of Ynglings stepped up to the Challenge.
Stiff Easterly breezes and a good swell saw the fleet rounding a mark at The Heads. A most unpopular mark known as “old mans hat”. It tested even the experienced skippers and was a good introduction to yacht racing for the novices.
