Coastguard Boating Education’s most popular introductory course that focuses on essential boating safety knowledge relevant to all boaties has been developed into an online version.

Day Skipper has a strong reputation amongst boaties and water safety advocates. Listening to and interacting with their students is what Coastguard Boating Education do well; so it’s only natural that the next evolution has been to make Day Skipper available online as an interactive and fun way to learn.

There are five units which cover the crucial aspects of boating safety: the boat, navigation, rules and regulations, emergencies and knots. One free module is now available to showcase the great functionality of the course.

Now there is no excuse. You can up skill your boating knowledge; easily complete the Day Skipper course anytime, anywhere, on your tablet, laptop or desktop.

Day Skipper Online is sponsored by Tristram Marine. Lance Fink, Managing Director of Tristram Marine, is a boating safety advocate who is proud to be associated with Day Skipper Online.

Over 250 students have already pre-registered for the course, with the official release date scheduled for March 18th.

Go to boatingeducation.org.nz or give the crew a call on 0800 40 80 90.
