Barcelona World Race - En ce 55e jour de la Barcelona World Race, Bernard Stamm et Jean Le Cam devraient contourner vers 21h TU ce soir (soit 22h HF) le mythique cap Horn. Joints ce matin, le duo de Cheminées Poujoulat naviguait à 200 milles du célèbre rocher, dans des vents portants de 25 à 30 nœuds de vent. Un mois après avoir doublé en éclaireur le cap de Bonne-Espérance, (le 25 janvier, 9h35 TU), il s’apprête à contourner, toujours en leader de la flotte, le dernier des trois caps marquant le tour du monde.

Bernard Stamm : « Avec le cap Horn, nous avons l’impression d’être arrivés à un point de passage important qui nous permet de remonter. Et c’est un passage un peu spécial, chargé d’histoire »

Jean Le Cam : « (Le naufrage sur le Vendée Globe 2009), Celui-là n’était pas terrible comme souvenir. C’était quasiment là où on est maintenant, à 200 milles du cap Horn, un peu plus au sud parce que là nous arrivons plus par le nord, et les conditions sont quasi similaires, il y avait peut être moins de vent. »
