Year after year the St.Maarten Heineken Regatta orchestrates a balance between professional sailing and international artists to give visitors and competitors a one of a kind experience. This year is no different, and organizers have stepped it up a notch and booked none other than Tessanne Chin to perform on Saturday night, March 7th at 10:30pm. Tessanne will be the headliner for the Caribbean Jam night on Kim Sha beach and regatta organizers are anticipating a crowded beach, mixed with sailors, vacationers and locals.

Saturday night's energetic performer, Tessanne Chin, is no stranger to the regatta stage. Since her 2012 regatta performance her career has taken off, and in 2013 Tessanne was the winner of The Voice USA, blowing away the competition. Her rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', soared to #1 on the ITunes Overall Song chart, a first time for the show since its inception.

Tessanne just recently performed at the Redemption Live: Bob Marley's 70th Birthday celebration, in Kingston Jamaica. When asked about her upcoming performance in St.Maarten she stated 'I'm very excited to be back. I got such a warm response the last time I visited and I'm looking forward to making this visit even better.'

During her last performance at the St.Maarten Heineken Regatta she brought an infectious energy to the stage and put on a show to remember. The audience left the beach with the music still coursing through their veins. This year, Tessanne is ready to take it to the next level. 'I'm definitely coming to put on a great show for everyone. Since my last visit to St Maarten I've been so lucky to have so many opportunities to travel and perform all over the world and I'm excited to share my musical journey and growth with everyone.'said Chin.

Title sponsor Heineken, distributed by International Liquors and Tobacco (ILTT) on St.Maarten, are responsible for booking all the talent that performs at the event. For years they have scoured the surrounding islands for new and upcoming talents, to bring diversity to the stage.

John Leone, Commercial Director at ILTT said 'We are so excited to have Tessanne perform for the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta! She performed here a few years ago with her sister Tami, and it was very special to me, because we were able to put them both on stage when they were relatively new. Now she is returning to the island a Champion! (After winning The Voice last year). What a thrill it is to have a performer like Tessanne come back! It really is 'Serious Fun' for me to have her back!'

In addition to four days of serious sailing, there are four nights of concerts to satisfy everyone. From Rock to Reggae, and cool jams from the one and only Kool and the Gang, regatta participants and island visitors are bound to have a good time, on the water and on shore.

There are only a few weeks left until the first start horn blows, will you be there?
