America's Cup- Oracle Team USA flying high in San Francisco + Video

by Richard Gladwell, Sail-World.com on 19 Feb 2015 While the New Zealand media and public agonise over issues within Team New Zealand, their nemesis of 2013, Oracle Team USA, are enjoying a final hit-out on San Francisco bay, before leaving their base in Pier 80.

The US team expects to be sailing in Bermuda in April/May 2015.

Currently they are sailing in two foiling classes - a development AC45, which is classified as one of their four allowed surrogate boats under the Protocol governing the 35th America's Cup. The other class being sailed is the Phantom - also a foiler, but sufficiently small to be not counted as a surrogate under the Protocol.
