2014 ISAF Sailing World Cup - Melbourne - The clouds have been sent packing from Port Phillip leaving a stunning summer’s day and an outlook of E-SE 15- 20 knots tending S-SE. Off host club for the ISAF Sailing World Cup – Melbourne, Sandringham Yacht Club, the sea is calm.
PRO Olympic classes Ross Wilson says today is looking 'Beautiful! With the easterly the seas should stay fairly mild this side of the bay. Straight off Sandy yacht club should be top sailing and I’m looking forward to seeing the Paralympic classes on the Stadium course.'
On race day five of the World Cup and Sail Melbourne six courses and the full race management team of around 140 officials and volunteers will be in operation.
In the Olympic, Paralympic and Kiteboarding the following classes will be racing today - Men’s 470, Women’s 470, Finn, Laser, Women’s Laser Radial, 49er, 49erFX, Men’s RS:X, Women’s RS:X, Nacra 17, Skud 18, 2.4mR, Men’s and Women’s Kiteboard.
Today is the final day of qualifying races for the 49er, 49erFX, Men’s RS:X, Women’s RS:X, and Men’s and Women’s Kiteboards ahead of tomorrow’s medal races, which start from 12:00 hours.
In the Sail Melbourne Invited classes regatta the following fleets will be racing - Laser 4.7, Men’s Laser Radial, Open 49FX, Bic Techno, Liberty, Viper, International OK, International 505, International 420, 29ers, Minnow, International Cadet and Optimist.
The program has been rejigged and scheduled to commence an hour earlier than previous days, to make up for yesterday’s shortfall when the original schedule was cut short for some classes and others didn’t leave shore due to the conditions, the sea-state being the main concern.

• 470 M & W 11.00 h 3 races Cerberus
• Finn 11.00 h 3 races Cerberus
• Nacra 17 15.00 h 4 races Cerberus
• Laser 15.00 h 2 races Green Point
• Radial 12.00 h 2 races Green Point
• 49er 11.00 h 4 races South
• 49er FX 11.00 h 4 races South
• RSX M 15.00 h 3 races South
• RSX W 15.00 h 3 races South
• Paralympics 12.00 h 2 races Stadium
• Kiteboarding 15.00 h 3 races Stadium
