Banque Populaire has finished first in the 2014 Route du Rhum SW
Loick Peyron aboard the Maxi trimaran Banque Populaire Solo VII crossed the finish line on Monday morning November 10 French time, to claim victory in the 10th edition of the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe
He crossed the finish line at night 5 hours, 08 minutes and 32 seconds (French time), or 00 hours, 08 minutes (local time), completing one of the finest achievements of modern ocean racing.
Peyron's race time between Saint Malo and Pointe a Pitre is 7 days 15 hours, 08 minutes and 32 seconds. He broke the race record previously held by Lionel Lemonchois (2006) 2 hours 10 minutes and 34 seconds.
