The official media release conference of fourth edition of China (Macau) International Yacht Import and Export Fair took place recently at the Grand Coloane Resort, formerly the Westin Resort, Coloane. The media conference marks the opening of the 2014 China (Macau) International Yacht Import and Export Fair, which will take place at the Grand Colane Resort from 7-9 November. The three-day fair promises to offer its valuable guests a vibrant experience of luxury lifestyle and oceanic culture.
The 2014 edition will be sure to impress yacht fans and collectors with a high-standard prestigious yacht show. Guests will be treated to a bevy of events including an exclusive gala dinner, wine tasting, pool party, sea trials and new product releases will run alongside the yacht show, bringing all attendees a fantastical experience of high-end lifestyle.
Over 1,000 VIPs have been invited by Macau Yacht Show organisers, and dozens of VVIPs will be transported by private jet to enjoy the grand fair. To bring the most plentiful experiences to its guests, the organizer is also planning to hold series of themed events including pool party, premium gala dinner and sea trials.
The brand new 2014 yacht show will present its guests with a great show of more than 40 of the world’s most exclusive yachts and dozens of premium yacht brands. The content of the show includes sailing boats, power boats, speed boats, boat engines, marine accessories, dock designs and facilities, chartering and leasing, water sports, high-end lifestyle and related services. Some of the most renowned yacht brands from Italy, USA, UK, Netherlands, Germany and other countries are expected to attend.
The fourth anniversary of China (Macau) International Yacht Import and Export Fair replaced its previous single yacht show with a multi-element themed yacht fair, jointly integrating with distinguished lifestyle elements, making the fair a most valuable platform to illustrate luxury lifestyle in Macau.
Previous Macau Yacht Shows have boosted the exhibition and showcase market of Macau, and advanced the development of tourism and leisure and entertainment in the SAR. The 2014 edition of Macau Yacht Show aims to promote the development of Macau’s yacht industry and trade, adding yet another facet to Macau’s tourism industry.
[For the fourth time in four years, the Macau Boat Show - or the snappily-tagged China (Macau) International Yacht Import and Export Fair, if you prefer - will be in a new home. The first event was held at Fisherman's Wharf, and was generally deemed to be a success. The second was an unmitigated disaster that took place indoors. The third was not much better, mostly indoors (with huge empty space, very few exhibitors, a handful of peanuts in an aircraft hangar), but with a brave six boats afloat in what has to be the most rundown and depressing marina in Asia. This year the main event is a party at the Grand Coloane Resort (previously known as The Westin), and will involve an unspecified number of boats at anchor or rafted-up in the bay facing Hac Sa Beach. It could be rock n' roll.
The jury of main industry players is still 'out' on this one. With eight days to go there is a good deal of 'will-we-won't-we?' going on, which roughly translates as 'I hope they don't go, because then we don't need to either'. This is an show searching not only for a home, but also an identity. In due course, no doubt, the press releases will let us know what a wonderful event we missed. Ed]
