Yacht CN 2014—3rd Nansha Bay International boat show has solemnly opened on Thursday 16th October, at Nansha Marina.
Organised by Nansha Marina, Yacht CN 2014—Nansha Bay International Boat Show runs 16-19 October. Since the first Yacht CN event in 2012, a wide range of internationally recognised yacht brands have been present at the Show. This year is no exception: Chaparral, Regal, Bavaria, Prestige, Jeanneau and Marquis are all present, supported by Sealine, Seahorse, Maxi, Dafeiyang, Sunway, Jetpon, Sunway, Novatec, Galeon, Monterey, Heysea, Royaler and a number of other brands that have come to Nansha to exhibit at Yacht CN 2014.
Alongside the line-up yachts and boats by international and local brands, visitors to this year’s Yacht CN will have a chance to enjoy the exciting Moto Surf China Race, passionate samba dances, bikini model shows, international music band performances, and popular international DJ music on-site.
The second China Yachting Conference will run concurrently with Yacht CN 2014—3rd Nansha Bay International Boat Show, on 17th-18th October, 2014. With almost 30 speakers from Europe, UK, Australia, USA, South-East Asia, HK and China, CYC 2014 is an event growing in profile year by year. The first day's presentations covered a wide range of topics including marina design, construction, operation, management and standards. Day 2 concentrates on yachting industry issues: yacht design, purchase, insurance, yacht survey and maintenance, yacht licensing, operating regulations, port procedures and other regulatory policies. Such diversity of topics is of great interest to marina developers, builders, trade visitors, shipbuilders, yacht owners and others involved in the leisure marine industry.
The Opening Ceremony presented a mix of 'contemporary and ancient' features; reviving the heritage of the Maritime Silk Road, the Pioneer - a replica of an ancient Chinese ocean-going junk - arrived in the marina basin accompanied by the sounds of the cannons specially fired in honour of the ceremony. An art exhibition dedicated to images of the Maritime Silk Road is on display in the Banquet Hall of Nansha Marina, where paintings and artworks by the students of Fok Ying Tung High School will once again remind the public of the rich historical heritage of Nansha Bay.
