Direction Nice pour Realteam sur les Extreme Sailing Series

Realteam participe dès demain et jusqu’au 5 octobre à l’avant dernière étape des Extreme Sailing Series à Nice (France). L’équipe menée par Jérôme Clerc est en grande forme, comme l’illustre sa victoire au Grand Prix SAP, qui marquait la fin de saison du Vulcain Trophy, le circuit lémanique des Décision 35.

Quatrième au classement général provisoire des Extreme Sailing Series, l’Extreme 40 Realteam by Realstone barré par Arnaud Psarofaghis se réjouit de l’étape méditerranéenne. 'Nous y avons terminé quatrièmes l’an dernier dans des magnifiques conditions,' se souvient le navigateur Thierry Wasem. 'Nice est un plan d’eau ouvert, où il peut vite y avoir une mer formée. J’espère que nous aurons autant de vent que l’an dernier!'


Le mot d’ordre de l’équipe sera la régularité. Dans les performances tout d’abord : 'Il faut être régulier du début à la fin du Grand Prix, c’est ce qui nous a manqué à Istanbul.' Et dans l’équipe également : 'La configuration de notre équipe en Extreme 40 est très stable depuis le début de l’année. C’est un vrai avantage puisque nous n’avons droit qu’à peu d’heures d’entraînement sur le catamaran avant chaque Act.'

Seul changement à signaler : le retour de Bryan Mettraux au poste de régleur. Absent à Istanbul - il participait au championnat du monde ISAF à Santander en 49er, il avait été remplacé par Cédric Schmidt. 'Cela m’a manqué de naviguer avec l’équipe,' confie Mettraux. 'Ma dernière régate avec eux était l’Act 5 à Cardiff fin août. Mais je suis confiant car je me sens au meilleur de ma forme, j’ai beaucoup navigué ces derniers temps. Et nous avons de nombreuses heures ensemble sur le bateau!'
