Grenada Sailing Week - Dates set for 2015 edition

by Grenada Sailing Week on 23 Sep 2014
Grenada Sailing Week 2014 Grenada Sailing Week
The dates are definite and planning for Grenada Sailing Week Thursday 29 January to Tuesday 3 February 2015 is under way. Skippers’ Briefing on Thursday 29 January will be followed by Racing on Friday and Saturday, a Lay Day on Sunday and then more Racing on Monday and Tuesday.

In idyllic sailing conditions a challenging variety of shorter up/down around the buoys and longer reaching coastal courses off Western and Southern Grenada ensures there is something for everyone in this regatta. Classes range from the seriously competitive to the more relaxed.

With the newly established RORC Atlantic Rally ending in Grenada in December 2014, IWW GSW organizers look forward to welcoming sailors from afar who want to experience a regatta with a distinctly Caribbean flavour. You can’t beat Grenada for its friendly welcome, clear blue water and natural beauty. For hot shot racers, this beginning of the year regatta is a great way to test your boat and crew in preparation for your 2015 racing campaign.

Previous participants in the Island Water World Grenada Sailing Week know that after the racing there is always lots of action ashore. A spicy blend of entertainment at a variety of venues, including lay day fun and lively parties with amazing musicians, vocalists and drummers enticing you to dance the warm Caribbean night away. The passion that started this event in 2012 remains strong. So add more spice to your life by registering online for Island Water World Grenada Sailing Week Event website
