Record sales driven by new interest in catamarans

by Brent Vaughan on 9 Sep 2014
Seawind 1160 LITE Multihull Central
The month of August has broken all previous sales records for Multihull Central, with no less than ten boats sold, including a new Outremer 5X, new Seawind 1250 XPAC, three new Seawind 1160 LITEs and five used multihulls sold, plus two more under contract.

With many of the boats being catamarans sold to couples and families planning to go cruising around Australia and the world, the strong results highlight the continued growth of catamarans as the boat type of choice for those wanting to explore the islands and coastlines of the world.

'We see more and more couples who are wanting the life experience of cruising and to explore water-bound destinations, drawn to catamarans,' Brent Vaughan of Multihull Central explains, 'because a catamaran essentially offers the equivalent of an apartment on the water, that is stable, economical and easy to operate.'

'We go to great lengths to help couples new to catamarans, get experience to start their adventure, from a catamaran sailing school, charter experiences, syndicate shares, and outright ownership of new and used boats.'

'And we have a unique team of brokers that were once buyers themselves, as many are catamaran owners and have been cruising so can offer their personal experience and knowledge and help new buyers make educated decisions that they will be happy with.'

The recent spike in sales comes on the back of the recent acquisition with Multihull Yacht Sales Australia, adding their office in Manly Qld to the Australia wide network of Multihull Central brokers and multihull marina in Sydney Harbour.

Multihull Central have also recently added Corsair trailer trimarans and Aquila power catamarans to their range of new multihulls, offering something for all experience levels, both sailors and non-sailors. For more information visit Multihull Central or call 1300 852 620.
