Sail Townsville's Australian Formula Kiteboard Championship, day two action. Peter Campbell
It was another corker of a day yesterday in the Sail Townsville Kiteboard Championship with four more races competed on Day 2
Blistering speeds and spectacular wipe outs were the order of the day.
The top of the leaderboard is starting to take shape with local expert Marvin Baumeister-Schoenian and Jalen Andreatta starting to etch away from the others. Jason Crane, Ben Turner and Rick Black are all together a few points back.
With a bad result only a wipe out away and still eight races to go, it is very easy to drop out of the running.
Competitors are raving about the brilliant sailing conditions and scenery, the easy access of the race course to the rigging park and the great camaraderie at the Townsville Sailing Club.
