Xiamen Int'l Boat Show 2014 moving to a new home

Xiamen Boat Show 2013 China Xiamen International Boat Show
The annual China (Xiamen) International Boat Show (CXIBS), one of the largest boat shows in China, is scheduled to be staged again in Xiamen 7-10 November this year.

The Xiamen International Boat Show became a member of the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers (IFBSO) in 2012, which makes it the second in China and the sixth in Asian countries to be a member of IFBSO.

Last year’s event featured over 300 yachts and boats from about 160 exhibitors from around the world, and dealers reported 40 boats during the show, 30% of which were purchased by Fujian buyers, and the total transactions reached RMB200 million during the event.

The 2014 boat show will be relocated to Music Island in Wuyuan Bay. This small artificial island was created from construction waste during the reconstruction of Wuyuan Bay. The new location will be connected to the yacht berths by a floating bridge.

Event organisers will be arranging ten or more ‘experiential activities’, inviting members of the public to get close to the water and to have a closer experience with the yachts and enjoy the joyful lifestyle brought by the yachts.

The activities will include yacht cruises, yacht test rides and competitions involving canoes, kayaks and sailing boats. A special interactive experiential area will be set up on Music Island. The 10th China Club Cup Sailing Challenge Match will be held during the boat show.

Participation in the show is expected from such internationally renowned builders as Azimut, Sunseeker, Princess, Ferretti, Lagoon, Beneteau, Feadship, Sunreef, Jeanneau, Regal, Sessa, Majesty, Brunswick, Absolute, Sealine, Rodman and a dozen domestic yacht manufacturers, showing off their yachts and boats of various sizes.
A series of yacht seminars, promotions and summits will also be held during the fair.
