Pantaenius 2022 - SAIL & POWER 2 LEADEBOARD AUS

2014 Chester Race Week - Day 3

by Dunn Coordinator on 16 Aug 2014
Boats in the Bluenose fleet enjoy a tough, but fierce competition. Tim Wilkes
Challenging weather conditions caused a delay to the start of races on day three, but once the sun broke through it was smooth sailing for the most part. All classes managed to get in one race, with some classes able to get two races in before the wind died a welcome relief for sailors after yesterday’s rough weather.

'We had a lot of fog and light air to start, but it turned out to be a beautiful day and we managed to get two races in,' said Jennifer Fraser of Bluenose class boat, Shaken Knot Stirred. 'We had 22 boats in our class and competition was fierce. When winds are light and inconsistent like today, you have to bring your 'A' game, and you have to be attentive and flexible to conditions that can change on a dime.'
