The British Sailing Team is happy to welcome Bollé to its sponsor family as the team’s Official Supplier of performance sunglasses and prescription eyewear for a third term up until March 2017.

Bollé is an industry leader in eyewear and offers the highest quality sunglasses for performance and protection, and has worked in partnership with the British Sailing Team since the Beijing 2008 cycle.

Using the very latest optical technology and polarization, Bollé will provide British Sailing Team members – sailors, coaches and support staff – with the very best eyewear from its Marine range in order to achieve optimum performance and maintain optical health both on and off the water.

Bollé’s Marine sunglasses feature a choice of two glare eliminating polarized lenses to protect eyes and enhance vision - Polarised Offshore Blue for all-day comfort in harsh sunlight and Polarised Inland Gold to enhance contrast in lower light conditions. Both lenses have a Hydrophobic Oleophobic treatment to prevent the sticking of dirt, grease or water spots.

Combined with ultra-durable lightweight frames, Thermogrip® temple tips and nose pads, Bollé Marine sunglasses provide the ultimate in performance, protection and comfort.

'Our team members are expected to operate at their best in outdoor environments, day in, day out, so it’s vital for both their performance and protection that they have the very best in eyewear available to them,' explained RYA Olympic Manager Stephen Park.

'We’re delighted that Bollé will be coming on board with the British Sailing Team for another cycle, and are looking forward to developing our partnership in the years ahead.'

Bollé’s optical specialist Craig McNeil worked with team members recently in Palma to consult on their eyewear needs.

'We are proud that the British Sailing Team has chosen to wear Bollé,' he commented.

'Our lenses will help to enhance the vision of the team and offer them maximum protection from the challenges they face daily on the water – including harsh glare, low light and poor visibility from water droplets.'

'We are delighted that we are able to support the team and are looking forward to following their quest for victory.'
