by Mike Leyland on 30 May 2014
Raging Hormones - Winner 2014 Two Handed Champs - Mount Gay Rum Young 88 1-2-3 Series - Two Handed Champs Rory Heath - RAYC
The ever popular two handed Young 88 champs followed on from the single handed champs and brought ten quality entries out for another perfect autumn day’s racing.

Last Sunday saw perfect conditions for shorthanded sailing with a balmy 5-10kt Nor'wester and blue skies.

RAYC Race Officer Rory Heath and his team did an excellent job setting and shifting the windward leeward course to get in six races before closing time.

Raging Hormone's skipper Zane Gifford and crew Steve Broadbent were consistent at the top of the fleet including three firsts. Second was War Machine and third Flash Gordon.

Series results after 1 & 2 handed sees Sailor Moon on top followed by War Machine and Waka Huia in third.

Last event in the series is the hugely challenging 3 Handed Champs (W/L's with Extras!) on 15 June.

The series will be wrapped up with a prize giving at the ever popular Y88 Mid-Winter Party 'The Mount Gay Rum Barbados Beach Bash' at RAYC on June 28th.
