Galeon releases 560 SkyDeck

by Galeon Motor Yachts on 12 May 2014
Galeon 560 Skydeck Galeon Motor Yachts
A new entrant to the Australian cruiser market, Galeon now boasts the 560 Skydeck, with its intelligent disappearing deck.

The difference between the 560 Skydeck and all the other flybridge/sportscruiser crossbreeds out there is that when the top deck is not in use; it can be completely hidden away.

At the touch of a button the forward and aft sections of the roof slide out of the way and the console automatically raises to the correct the height. You then simply flip up the backrests on the seats and your flybridge is ready to go. It is the ultimate solution to eradicating the need to wrestle with flybridge covers as the seats and upper helm are protected from the harmful effects of the weather and birds' bowels by a hard cover.

It also means that with the lid shut the 560 Skydeck looks like a genuine sportscruiser, not a sportscruiser with a couple of seats and a steering wheel plonked on top.

Inside is a spectacular three cabin and two bathrooms yacht. (Layout options are available). The master cabin is a full -beam and there's a double VIP forward, also ensuite, and a generous twin that shares its bathroom with the cabin in the bow.

There is also an option to have a crew cabin, which gets two good berths of its own and a shower room - not bad for a 56-footer.

Galeon always offers an impressive range of engines and this is no different on the 560. The standard option is twin 533KW (715hp) Cummins on shafts then there are three options from Volvo, Including twin D13-800 or 900 shafts, with IPS 950 sitting at the top of the options list.

For the true best-of-both-worlds experience this intelligent disappearing deck is the closest you are going to get.

Length 17.2m (56ft 4in)
Beam 4.7m (15ft 4in)
Engine Twin 533/596/671 KW (715/800/900 HP) diesels or IPS950
Top speed 36 knots (est)
Price from A$1,488,264
