Racing in the 2014 Interclub Optimist series NZ Optimist Team
The Toyota NZ Optimist Nationals get underway at the Manly Sailing Club, around mid-day on Friday.
On Thursday the Murrays Bay No 1 Team - Jackson Keon, Kerensa Jennings, Min So, Courtenay Reynolds-Smith and Josh Armit won the National Interclub Teams Racing Regatta at Manly.
Eleven entries took part, in a breezy 15-18 knots using a round-robin, then worlds-style knock-out format, giving plenty of racing to all participants.
Teams were a little rusty at the start of the day but some superb skills were displayed in the afternoon.
Charteris Bay entered four teams entered - it's all about participation!
A $500 spot-prize for teams racing participants will be drawn at the Fleet Nationals Prizegiving.
