Mercury’s new Verado 200hp Pro FourStroke – delivering even more

New Verado 200hp Pro FourStroke Mercury Marine
Mercury’s unmatched line-up of unbeatable FourStroke outboards has another star, with the release of the new Verado 200hp Pro FourStroke.

The engine – the third in the Verado Pro FourStroke family – has been designed and built to deliver the incredible acceleration and top speed of all the Mercury Pro series outboards along with the pleasingly quiet and smooth operation of the Mercury Verado.

The 200hp Pro is built on the reliable six-cylinder Verado platform, just like the existing 250 and 300 Pro FourStroke models.

'This is an engine which is going to delight a lot of people – with its performance and its price point,' said Nicholas Webb, Mercury’s Director of Outboard Products for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

'It will revitalise virtually any boat and perform well on single hull fishing or watersports boats. Those types of applications will benefit the most from the superior handling and manoeuvrability, extra torque, and the all-around better driving experience that’s provided by Mercury Verado Pro models,' Nicholas said.

Like the 250hp and 300hp Pro FourStroke variants, the new 200hp Pro features Mercury Marine’s 4.8' Verado gearcase with a smaller hydrodynamic profile, to ensure top performance. This gearcase is available exclusively in right-hand rotation on 20-inch (L) and 25-inch (XL) driveshafts.

Delivering an outstanding hole shot, amazing torque and punchy mid-range acceleration, Mercury’s new Verado 200hp Pro FourStroke has state-of-the-art supercharge technology which allows precise, programmable control over the fuel and air intake. No competing engine can manage intake with this precision because no other engine is supercharged with computer-controlled boost.

As well, the Verado 200hp Pro FourStroke comes standard with the Advanced Mid Section (AMS), Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS) and electro-hydraulic power steering for an unrivalled driving experience.

The Verado is rightly famous as the world's only supercharged production outboard engine – a FourStroke which delivers the acceleration of a traditional two-stroke with outstanding performance, unmatched reliability and an automotive-like driving experience.

The Verado 200hp Pro FourStroke is now available from Mercury dealers in Australia and New Zealand and, for recreational use, is backed by Mercury Marine’s leading 3+2=5 year warranty and the industry’s only 3 year corrosion warranty.
