Camille Juban awarded Guinness World Record PWA World Tour http://www.pwaworldtour.com
In August of 2013, Camille Juban (Quatro / MauiSails / MFC) travelled to Peru in the hope of finding perfect, long peeling lines of glassy waves and that’s exactly what he found at the iconic spot of Chicama.

Chicama is located halfway between the Peruvian capital - Lima - and the border of Ecuador. Chicama has long held the reputation of being considered the longest wave in the world within the surfing fraternity. In August 2012 Peruvian surf star Cristobal de Col earned his very own Guinness World Record by carving 34 turns on the legendary wave during the Red Bull Chicama Challenge.

Almost a year later and Camille Juban set about writing his name, and windsurfing, in to the record book. On 19th August 2013 Juban’s dreams came true as he earned the crown of riding the longest wave in the world with an incredible wave time of seven minutes and three seconds. An amazing feat. Now after months of waiting the Guinness World Records have officially confirmed his achievement, just in time for Christmas.
