Catalina Owners' Lake Macquarie Rendezvous

by Rod Mackay/Sail-World Cruising on 13 Dec 2013 The Catalina Owners Lake Macquarie Rendezvous (number nine) in New South Wales' lovely Lake Macquarie will be held from January 3-5, 2014 at Royal Motor Yacht Club, Toronto. This regatta is for the owners and guests of Catalinas who have got over the silly season and will look forward to sailing on beautiful Lake Macquarie for some fun and sun.

There's a little bit of racing, but the itinerary is mostly concentrated on camaraderie rather than competition:

Here's the program:
Gather at Royal Motor Yacht Club, Toronto on Friday, January 3 (Marina pens and moorings can be arranged)

Fun (non-spinnaker) race/sail past around the cans on the Saturday afternoon.

Informal get-together at Royal Motor Yacht Club Toronto Friday night, and prize presentation/dinner Saturday night, at the 'Toronto Bay Bistro' restaurant on site at the club.

A leisurely cruise down the Lake on Sunday (January 5) and raft up at Styles Point for those who wish to come along. An overnight extension of this raft up is being planned by some and should be fun like last year!
