European Freestyle Pro Tour - Showdown bound for France

There are only two days to go until the final showdown of the European Freestyle Pro Tour 2013. After rather disappointing news about the scheduled last tour-stop in Premantura, Croatia we are really happy to be able to run the finale of the EFPT alongside a very competent, experienced and motivated partner - the EFE in France.

Starting off with events in 2008, the originally founded organization 'European Funboard Expression' had a name change this year to become THE organization to bring freestyle back to the shores of France and Europe - 100% dedicated to this sport. The EFE became the 'European Freestyle Expression'.

With a massive amount of international riders who participated in the first EFPT/EFE cooperation last year, the event at the beaches of Six Fours les Plages in South of France should only gain recognition this year with the involvement of big names like former European Champion Steven Van Broeckhoven (JP/Neilpryde), Dieter Van der Eyken (Starboard), Tonky Frans, Max Rowe (North/Fanatic), Adrian Beholz (Fanatic/Sailloft) and Adam Sims (Sailloft/Patrik) just to name a few. The riders will have to battle against the French freestyle connection including Adrien Bosson (North/Fanatic) who had a brilliant year on the PWA, Antony Ruenes who is always a rider to look out for, Nicolas Akgazciyan (Starboard) and also Julien Mas (Sailloft/Patrik). The French riders are not only known to be sick in the freestyle competitions but also in the tow-in, nothing shows that better than in Holland where we saw three riders in the top ten.

This year’s EFE competition will be staged at Brutal Beach, which is a bit more accessible for the spectators and provides a slightly better infrastructure. This guarantees to grow the event even bigger this season.

The conditions at the moment look promising and we expect about 28 riders for the registration on Thursday morning. As per usual we'll keep you posted from the event on a daily basis.
