Two models represented by Multihull Solutions in Australia and New Zealand have been nominated for the prestigious 2014 Cruising World Boat of the Year Awards.

The annual awards, staged by Cruising World and Sailing World magazines, recognise and honour the best new sailboat models introduced to the North American market with 28 boats nominated in 2013 across eight categories.

Multihull Solutions has nominees from two of the international shipyards it represents including Catana and Fountaine Pajot.

In the 'Full-Size Multihulls' category, the flagship Victoria 67 has been nominated, while the remarkable Catana 42 Carbon has been nominated in the 'Midsize Multihulls' category.

The nominees were announced after a rigorous selection process that focussed on production boats that delivered outstanding performance and design for coastal and offshore cruising.

The nominated boats now move on to the judging round where the Cruising World judges will assess how the production boats laid out and equipped for coastal and offshore cruising and voyaging, while the Sailing World judging panel will concentrate on boats designed and built with racing in mind.

The 2014 Boat of the Year winners will be announced in December 2013.

Further information about the Catana 42 Carbon and Fountaine Pajot Victoria 67 can be arranged by contacting Multihull Solutions on 1300 855 338 (within Australia) or 0508 MULTIS (within New Zealand), emailing info@multihullsolutions.com.au or visiting the Multihull Solutions Website.
