Laser Europa Cup, Hungary underway on Lake Balaton

Lake Balaton played host to the 2013 Laser Europa Cup, Hungary as 56 sailors from eleven nations made the journey to Baltonfured.

A total of seven races with a discard were completed in light to moderate winds fluctuating from six knots to 12 knots with gusts of 18 knots on day two.

The Local Vadnai brothers Benjamin (nine points) and Jonaton (12 points) took both gold and silver in the overall Radial fleet followed by Marko Radman (SLO) (17 points) in third.

On the podium for the Standard fleet was Hungary's Tomai Balázs (nine points) in first place with second and third going to Claus Maria Dapeci (AUT) (10 Points) and Bahrain's Janahi Abdulla (23 points).

The 4.7 fleet was dominated by local sailors. Maria Érdi (HUN) had a comfortable win with 13 points. In second place was Rebeka Hirschler (HUN) on 16 points and in third Michaela Kecskésová (SLO) with 19 points.
