KIA Cold Hawaii PWA Worlds - Albert competes with the best

After a first day with no wind, the second day of the World Championship windsurfing KIA Cold Hawaii has suffered the vagaries Klitmoller wind which caused the frustration of many, but not young Barcelona, ??Albert CS-Cart, which has qualified for the main competition.

The new system introduced this year requires 12 participants will fight each other to get into the last 6 positions remain to be within these 32 best windsurfers in the world.


Albert Pijoan, 29, won the second round of the qualifying events and, therefore, will be among the top 32 who will compete for the title of World Champion windsurfing. 'I flew from Barcelona to here with my friend Jose Piña-photographer Spanish' told Albert, 'the conditions were a bit complicated but I managed to get by and make a good round, and the truth is I am very happy.'


'It would not be fair to criticize this new system is the game, but the truth is it's a bit boring to be waiting for the announcement every 15 minutes. Try to give my best in the main competition, hopefully the wind better these days, 'said Albert Pijoan.

Victor Fernandez , the number two in the world and one of the favorites of the championship, had to be very patient, as his round was canceled for the second time.
