Grand Pavois - Quality speaks on marine architecture

New themed space in Hall A (marine construction, services, insurance, finance, hiring and tourism), the Marine Architecture Centre, developed in partnership with FIN - Fédération des Industries Nautiques (Federation of Nautical Industries) will be hosted by quality speakers, since you'll see that the best French marine architectural practices will be represented there.

Apart from the presence of exhibitors (DW Yacht Design, Marc Lombard Yacht Design Group, IFAN – Erik Lerouge, ENSAPLV de Paris…) within this centre, newly created at Grand Pavois, there will be a packed programme of seminars and round tables, with CRAIN - Centre de Recherche pour l’Architecture et l’Industrie Nautiques (Research Centre for Architecture and Nautical Industries), AFBE - Association Française pour le Bateau Electrique (French Electric Boat Association), the practices of VPLP (Van Peteghem Lauriot Prévost), Finot-Conq, Marc Lombard, HDS Design, Rolland, Delion, Lucas, Neuman, not forgetting l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nantes (the Nantes College of Architecture) who will organise two conferences on 'Innovations in the History of Sailing, especially in the America's Cup' with the historian Daniel Charles, and another on 'The concept and work of marine architecture' with David Comy and Matthieu Douane (young architects from DPEA of Marine Architecture and prize-winners at the recent Beneteau competition).

The programme (Marine Architecture Centre - Hall A) at present:

- Wednesday September 25th. (from 5pm - 6pm): Architecture/design electric/hybrid boat, with CRAIN and AFBE
- Thursday September 26th. (from 5pm - 6pm): Design of a racing boat, with VPLP and Finot/Conq
- Friday September 27th. (from 5pm - 6pm): Design and production of a 100-foot single-hull sailing vessel, with Finot/Conq
- Saturday September 28th. (from 5pm - 6pm): Architecture/design of a cruiser, with P. Rolland, P. Delion and F. Lucas
- Sunday September 29th. (from 5pm - 6pm): Careers in Architecture and Design, with M. Lombard, F. Neuman and the Nantes School of Architecture
- Monday September 30th. (from 5pm - 6pm): The 'French Touch' in racing boats, with M. Lombard, HDS, VPLP and P. Grand Pavois website
