Boater's World Marine Centers has announced that golfer Greg Norman, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, will become the spokesperson for the retail chain of marine specialty stores.

Norman, an avid boater and fisherman, will promote all aspects of BoaterÕs World's business. In addition, he will focus on promoting fishing gear available at the stores. New to Boaters World will be Norman's own line of fishing apparel.

Nicknamed 'The Great White Shark' by a reporter when he was leading the 1981 Masters after the first round, Norman has won a total of 86 tournaments, including 20 PGA Tour victories and 66 international titles since beginning his professional golf career in 1976.

The 48-year-old Australian has enjoyed considerable success in the business world as well, turning Great White Shark Enterprises into an international conglomerate that grosses more than $200 million annually.

At the end of 2002 Norman took delivery of the largest private aluminium superyacht in the world, the 69.5m Aussie Rules, built at the Oceanfast shipyard.
