The hottest thing to happen on the dinghy scene is causing waves around the world, with the arrival of the Glide Free Foiling Laser kit.
Its an all Australian effort with Ian Ward and Peter Stephinson's foiling kit, to be sold world-wide by the Australasian Laser builder Performance Sailcraft. We´ve seen the early vision and stills. Marry the most popular dinghy ever, with a retractable and detachable system that takes away most of the difficulties inherent in the Moth foiling system and the Laser foiling scene could explode.
We will follow this development with great interest in the weeks ahead.
Its Day 3 of Abell Point Marina Airlie Beach Race Week, the bulk of the fleet have sailed the Molle Island Race, between 22-27 nm while the IRC Racers were to circulate on windward leeward courses on Pioneer Bay, the wind was not playing nicely so the Grand Prix races headed off after the others.

The accusation of cheating has been widely bandied around in the media. It is a easy shot, and those who have sat on an International Jury will know that all is often not quite what it seems, and often there is an explanation which is accepted by the Jury.
The difficulty for Oracle Team USA is that the Protocol for this America's Cup Regatta embraces the completed America's Cup World Series events, as well as the America's Cup Regatta, currently underway. Therefore infringements in the ACWS can be carried onto the current Regatta, and into the Cup itself.
Following last week’s launch of the ISAF Sailing World Cup - Melbourne Olympic class entries, the Notice of Race is now online and entries are now being accepted for the Sail Melbourne Invited Classes.
This combined event is the second regatta of the 2013-2014 ISAF Sailing World Cup series and will be organised by Yachting Victoria at Sandringham Yacht Club in Melbourne, from the first-8th December 2013.
The 2013 Sail Melbourne Invited Classes have been confirmed as; Laser Radial Men, Laser 4.7, Men and Women’s Kiteboard, Viper, 420, 29er, Optimist, OK dinghy, 2.4R, SKUB18, Liberty Access and Cadet dinghy.
And in the latest news Darren ´Twirler' Jones has won his fifth Farr 30 World Championship.
