The season so far for Team Tilt

by Team Tilt on 14 Jun 2013
Team Tilt / Loris Von Siebenthal
A few days prior to one of Lake Geneva’s most famous regattas, Team Tilt skipper Lucien Cujean gives us an update on the first few events of the season. 'Racing the Decision 35 is a new experience for most of our team and we are racing against crews that know the lake and the boats extremely well. We are still in discovery mode. We worked well during the last few regattas and are rotating the crew on the boat to learn more about other roles onboard and in general make sure that everyone is familiar with every position. This learning process did hold us back in some of the races, but everything we do is centred on the event in San Francisco at the end of the summer. We are still aiming for a podium finish at the Vulcain Trophy, but it is far from given! We are very pleased with the results on the Ventilo M2, it is nice to be ahead and in control. 'Last week was very busy, we had the Geneva-Rolle-Geneva and the Open de Versoix II. We are pretty happy with our results and the main thing is that during both events we learnt a lot and the atmosphere on board was excellent. We took risks during the Geneva-Rolle-Geneva, which is a long and challenging race to manage but unfortunately they didn’t pay off. We made up for it during the Vulcain Trophy in Versoix though with two wins despite some average starts which is something that we need to work on! In the end our boat speed won the day! I am absolutely delighted to race the event of the Lake Geneva season: the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, as tactician for our coach Arnaud Psarofaghis who will helm.' During the Bol d'Or Mirabaud, a stand Team Tilt will be held at the Société Nautique de Genève, where you will be able to buy the official limited edition Team Tilt caps. Results Vulcain Trophy (Décision 35) Open de Versoix I : 5. Grand Prix les Ambassadeurs : 8. Genève-Rolle-Genève : 10. Open de Versoix II : 5. Overall ranking : 8. Results TeamWork M2 Speed Tour (Ventilo M2) 100 milles du Lac de Neuchâtel 2. Grand Prix d’Estavayer 1. Overall ranking : 2.
