The Yamaha Motor Company has celebrated the production of the company’s 10 millionth Yamaha outboard.

Celebrations to mark achievement were held at Fukuroi South Factory, Yamaha’s state-of-the-art outboard manufacturing facility, in May.

Fittingly, the 10 millionth outboard off the production line was Yamaha’s revolutionary new F200, the company’s incredible new lightweight, four-cylinder, four-stroke, 200hp outboard.

'Reaching this milestone is an incredible achievement,' says Yamaha Motor New Zealand’s Greg Fenwick. 'It is testament to the dedication of Yamaha’s engineers and designers and to their on-going desire to always produce a better, more powerful and lighter outboard engine.

'Yamaha’s new F200 is a perfect example: it is the world’s lightest, most powerful and most advanced 200hp outboard.'

Although the F200 has only just arrived in New Zealand, Yamaha dealers around the country are already reporting extremely strong demand.

'Kiwi boaties are very knowledgeable,' says Greg Fenwick. 'They really understand and appreciate the benefits of new technology. It is no surprise that the new F200 is proving so popular.'
