There is still over three months to go until the gates open for the 2013 National 4x4 & Outdoors Show and Fishing & Boating Expo in Melbourne, but space is filling up quickly with exhibitors keen to secure their spot.

Just over 20 per cent of floor space remains for the August 23-25 event at the Melbourne Showgrounds, with the early interest and strong demand resulting in organisers adding an additional hall to the Show footprint, bringing it to over 50,000 square metres for the first time ever.

'The interest we've received so early on, from both current exhibitors and also new organisations has resulted in the inclusion of an additional hall which will be the dedicated Automotive Pavilion to house 4WD vehicle manufacturers, with Holden and Suzuki already confirmed,' said Paul Morgan, Event Manager, National 4x4 & Outdoors Show.

'This also then gives other exhibitors extra space to play with and the opportunity to display even more product, meaning visitors will have many more things to see and experience.'

The ever-popular Action Arena is sure to capture the interest of an anticipated 33,000-strong crowd at the Showgrounds, with the invitation-only TJM Austruck Extreme 4x4 competition to be a feature attraction.

The DPChip Extreme Show and Monster Trucks will also pack the stands, with the Action Arena scheduled to host 4WD test rides and Trophy Kart demonstrations as well.

Also confirmed is the WAECO Outback Stage and a number of meet and greet sessions with some of the 4WD and Fishing industries biggest names including Pat Callinan, Mr 4x4 himself, and Paul Worsteling, the host of television's iFISH programme.

Visitors to the Show will be able to learn or perhaps perfect their fishing techniques from the best in the business with the Yamaha Supertank and casting classes locked in and the Young Guns Fishing Adventures running clinics for people of all ages and capabilities.

'The 2013 National 4x4 & Outdoors Show and Fishing & Boating Expo is shaping up to be a fantastic event and must-see for anyone interested in the outdoor lifestyle,' said Paul.

'Some of the biggest names in the Australian 4x4, outdoor, fishing and boating industries are confirmed, with Holden, ARB, Ironman 4x4, Anaconda, Aussie Disposals and Tackleworld to name a few, adding to the calibre of this premier event.

'We are really excited about what is locked in already, and whilst we cannot confirm everything now, we do have some surprises in store and exciting news to announce closer to the time.'

Visitors to this year's Show will also have the chance to walk away with a $10,000 Touring and Adventure Package, thanks to ARB and Anaconda. Plus those who purchase their ticket online via the website will automatically go into the draw to win a $1,200 Fishing & Outdoor package thanks to AFNTV.

The 2013 National 4x4 & Outdoors Show and Fishing & Boating Expo will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds from August 23-25, with additional information available at www.4x4show.com.au or www.fishingshow.com.au.

For the first time ever and to alleviate potential traffic and parking congestion, Metro Trains will run a special train service on the Saturday and Sunday for show patrons with trains running every 20 minutes from Flinders Street, stopping at Southern Cross and North Melbourne Stations, then express to the Showgrounds.
