Farewell to Stripey Grant - all welcome to memorial service

Ian 'Stripey' Grant, the respected and much-loved Queensland sailing writer and media officer for the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club's (QCYC) Brisbane-Gladstone race for many years, will be farewelled at a funeral service to be held FRIDAY 12 April in Brisbane.
For those wishing and able to attend, the ceremony will begin at 1pm, held at Hemmant Crematorium, Hemmant Tingalpa Road, Hemmant.
Following the funeral, his family will host a Wake at the 16' Skiff Club at Darling Point, Manly.
All those who would like to attend are welcome.
Stripey died on 29th March (Good Friday), just after the start of the annual Queensland coastal race.
Stripey was recovering in Brisbane´s Greenslopes Hospital from a severe stroke he suffered on the 2nd March 2013 when he had a heart attack after a physiotherapy session.
