Wellington Cancer Society auctioning signed Emirates Team NZ shirt

by Richard Gladwell on 18 Mar 2013
Win a signed crew shirt as worn by the pictured Emirates Team New Zealand sailors Derek Seward, Tony Rae, Rob Waddell and Jeremy Lomas and support a great cause Chris Cameron/ETNZ http://www.chriscameron.co.nz

Emirates Team NZ have kindly donated a signed shirt to support the Wellington Cancer Society Relay for Life event 23rd and 24th March 2013.

It is sized Medium Adult, and can be worn or framed as a collectors piece. The auction is being run on TradeMe.

This could be a very good investment come September, but in any event helps a great cause.

The team auctioning the shirt, will participate alongside others at the Relay for Life event, helping to raise funds for the Wellington Cancer Society.

The Cancer Society gets no direct Government funding and relies on Community generosity and goodwill to raise the funds required to assist cancer patients and their families.

Some of the funds raised help to provide free services for patients such as transport to and from treatments, counselling, a library, massage, support groups, accommodation for patients who have to travel for treatment, patient welfare grants and more.

The funds also assist with programmes such as CanQuit smoking cessation training for health providers, SunSmart schools programme, Shade Loan Scheme, CanWork programme and Mens Health + + +

The Cancer Society is a proud supporter of the Malaghan Institute - a leading research centre in Wellington.

Signatures include Grant Dalton, Dean Barker and Rob Waddell along with the rest of the sailing crew

At the end of the auction the winner will be sent a link to pay online using VISA or Mastercard directly into the Relay for Life Account. Alternatively cash or bank cheque on pickup

Delivery by courier at buyer's cost.
