Benetti growth in Middle East

by Gianluca Poerio on 7 Mar 2013
Nabil El Jammal - Benetti SW
Benetti, part of the Azimut/Benetti Group, is once again a protagonist of the Dubai Boat Show (March 5th to ninth, 2013), with an exclusive exposition at the Super Yacht Builders Association (SYBASS) area.

For the occasion the Viareggio based shipyard, which celebrates it's 140th Anniversary this year, completes another important step in their international expansion towards markets with higher potentiality, and consolidates their presence in the United Arab Emirates area opening a new office in Dubai and appointing Nabil el Jammal as Area Manager for the Middle East.

The opening of a new direct sales point is of particular strategic importance as it covers the Middle East area even more efficiently, consolidating the historic presence of the Azimut/Benetti Group: since the 1980's one of the first movers in the area.

To best pursue this important objective, Benetti has brought Nabil el Jammal on board. An established professional in the nautical world, with great experience in the Middle East markets, Jammal will manage the commercial office, with direct responsibility for the Arab Gulf Region markets as far as Turkey, including both Egypt and Lebanon.

With a degree in Architecture from Milan Politecnic, and a Master in Yacht Design, Jammal has been involved in the design of numerous yachts and in an ambitious development plan for the Middle East for an important shipyard.

'Nabil has a deep knowledge of the product and the market, in addition to numerous and important relationships in the world of international yachting. The principle aim of Benetti's direct presence in the area is to maintain relationships with the clients, accompanying them through the complete life cycle of the yacht, from design to construction and delivery, without forgetting the after sales cycle, as a fundamental part of the Benetti philosophy', said Alberto Perrone da Zara, Benetti Sales Director.

'A consolidated experience in the international markets, great professionalism, and above all the great respect that Nabil el Jammal has earned in the international yachting environment, immediately convinced us that we had found the best professional to accompany Benetti in the execution phase of this important step of our commercial strategy', commented Vincenzo Poerio, CEO MegaYacht Division.
