Sail the Gulf Regatta underway in Doha

Competition at the Sail the Gulf 2013 regatta is underway in Doha, Qatar at the Doha Sailing Club and boasts over 200 sailors competing across eight classes. Sailors from Algeria, Bahrain, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Myanmar, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Palestine, Qatar, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Singapore, United Arabs Emirates and United Kingdom are participating.

Included in the entries is Qatar's first ISAF Youth Worlds partcipant Faris Al Bakri. Sailing in the 58-boat fleet in Dublin Bay, Ireland last July Al Bakri finished 51st. With him competing in the 23-boat Laser Radial in Qatar he will want to put all that he picked up from the 2012 ISAF Youth Worlds into practice throughout the week.

Hornet Nationals at Torbay Day 1
