Marion to Bermuda - Info Sessions to help sailors prepare

Information Sessions to help sailors prepare for an offshore race to Bermuda will be presented by the Marion Bermuda Race team and will be held at West Marine store locations throughout New England. Many sailors want to make the passage to Bermuda and the Marion Bermuda Race is a great way to go, but there are so many questions that must be answered.

During these sessions, you will learn about:

- Boat qualification
- Boat Preparation
- Crew Preparation
- Communication equipment needed
- Safety equipment needed
- Watch schedules
- Customs requirements
- Costs and Logistics
- When to begin preparations
- The nuances and Strategies for navigating Buzzards Bay, the Gulf Stream and the Approach to Bermuda
- The hands-on Mentoring program provided by the Marion Bermuda Race support team

Race organizers are sure you can think of twenty more questions that are just as important. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to see what it takes for you, your crew and your boat to race to the beautiful island of Bermuda safely (and maybe win a little silver along the way).
