Victorian Government tells boaters to 'Man Up!' at Launching Way

The Boating Industry Association of Victoria applauds the awarding of a 5 year lease by the Victorian Government for continued operation and improved service levels at the Launching Way facility on Patterson River.
BIAV President Andy Warner said 'The boat ramps at Launching Way are the busiest we have and we are overjoyed with the current outcome. Not only has the Victorian Government honoured the commitment given by Environment Minister Ryan Smith to maintain a staffed presence at this facility but the best possible lessee and manager has been appointed.
'The news that Trevor and Lynette Hogan have signed a new lease will see thousands of recreational boaters launching from Patterson River in safety and in time for the looming snapper season.
'I cannot fathom what would have happened to recreational boating participation levels if the facility had of remained unmanned over the busy periods ahead. This is a great outcome for recreational boaters, the Victorian boating industry and its growth,' Andy Warner said.
The Boating Industry Association of Victoria would like to thank the State Member for Carrum Donna Bauer for her exemplary and continued support for all recreational boaters.
