Helly Hansen stocks a large range of nautical apparel for men, women and children - Sydney International Boat Show Rosalie Taylor
With the Sydney International Boat Show well under way, Helly Hansen has a positive outlook on the remainder of the event.

'We’ve been selling heaps,' said Philip Hartas, company representative. 'We hope the Show continues like this.'

Based out of Norway, Helly Hansen is renowned for their marine performance wear. Most popular for use in extreme weather, the company dresses boaters for survival and rescue, in addition to fishing and sailing adventurers.

Helly Hansen’s latest product, the Open Racing Suit, is one of the company’s premier products. Featuring a weatherproof design, this one-piece suit contains three levels of protection against the ocean’s most extreme aspects. The suit sports an extra high fleece collar, waterproof breathable socks and reinforced knee and seat padding.

'It’s an absolutely tough as nuts suit,' said Hartas. 'It’s waterproof, windproof. It will keep you comfortable in terrible weather.'

Designed in conjunction with the last year’s around the world sailing team, the Open Racing Suit is built to withstand any type of weather.

'You could stand in the shower all day and it would still keep you warm and dry,' said Hartas.

In addition to the niche products, Helly Hansen also provides boaters with all kinds of leisurewear. From offshore to coastal apparel, there is a product for any type of sailor.
