London Olympics 2012- RS-X Men - Dutch domination in Weymouth

London Olympics 2012 Sailing competition, Weymouth - RS:X Men's class.

Dutchman Dorian Van Rijsselberge has risen fifteen points clear in the Men's RS:X class following another day of dominance.

No one has been able to cope with the Dutchman after he won his fifth race out of eight as well as recording another second place. Van Rijsselberge holds a discarded third place and if anyone is to overthrow him it'll be down to the Dutchman's own misfortunes as he looks faultless on the race course at the moment.

Van Rijsselberge puts his success down three factors, 'I think that the things that are crucial to me are here - my family, my friends. I'm enjoying myself.'

Nick Dempsey moved into second today but admitted that his gold medal hunt is starting to get out of reach, 'I'm staying in it and sailing well but that gold medal is getting further and further away. There's a large part of me that's concerned we're running out of races.'

Germany's Toni Wilhelm took the bullet in Race 8 and is third overall on 24 points. Przemyslaw Miarczynski (POL) is fourth on 29 points.

The Men's RS:X resume racing tomorrow on the Portland Harbour Course no earlier than 13:30

2. Nick Dempsey (GBR) - 24pts
3. Toni Wilhelm (GER) - 24pts
4. Przemyslaw Miarczynski (POL) - 29pts
