Range combines Henri-Lloyd's technical sailing expertise with Spinlock's specialist flotation technology to deliver high-performance protection on the water

Henri-Lloyd has announced the launch of a range of lifejackets developed by Spinlock, bringing together two British marine brands with a shared heritage of developing technical equipment for sailors who demand performance, comfort and dependable protection on the water.

The range pairs Henri-Lloyd's 60+ years of experience in technical sailing apparel with Spinlock's specialist expertise in personal flotation and marine safety equipment.

The Henri-Lloyd branded range includes the Deckvest Lite, and the Deckvest Lite + which comes with integrated deck harness and soft-loop attachment point. Both models are branded with the Henri-Lloyd logo and come in two colourways, Black or Pacific Blue, with reflective detailing and highly visible red lifting strap.

A key feature of the Deckvest range is Spinlock's UML Mk 5 automatic inflator. This uses a water-sensitive compressed-paper capsule. When the capsule gets wet, it dissolves and releases a spring that punctures the CO2 cylinder. The design is configured so that water flowing upwards through the inflator activates it, while water, spray or rain running down the jacket should not cause inadvertent activation.

The Deckvest range feature attachment points for accessories including a VHF leash, kill cord, PLB, MOB beacon and lifejacket light. The Deckvest Lite and Deckvest Lite + come in one fully adjustable size, suitable for users over 50 kilos, and retail at £139 and £149 respectively.

Also available in the Henri-Lloyd Spinlock range is the Deckvest Cento, designed for junior sailors weighing 20-50 kilos (8-15 years age range). This lifejacket includes automatic inflation, integrated deck harness and soft-loop attachment. The Henri-Lloyd branded Deckvest Cento is available in Pacific Blue and retails at £119.

The Henri-Lloyd and Spinlock collaboration was launched at Cowes Week, where many sailors opted to purchase new lifejackets to match their Henri-Lloyd apparel.

Ross Partridge from Henri-Lloyd says: "Safety is fundamental to everything we do at Henri-Lloyd. Our customers trust us to provide clothing that performs when conditions become challenging, so expanding into personal flotation with Spinlock is a natural extension of that commitment.

Spinlock shares our approach to technical development and has an exceptional understanding of what sailors need from safety equipment. Together, we can offer sailors a combination of protection, performance and comfort that encourages people to wear the right equipment every time they step aboard."

The Henri-Lloyd Spinlock lifejacket range is available through Henri-Lloyd's retail stores.
