Manufacturer to Marina Study Tour - Brisbane, Sunshine Coast & Gold Coast

by Marina Industries Association 14 Oct 15:25 PDT 5-6 November 2026
Brisbane, Sunshine Coast & Gold Coast © Marina Industries Association

Ever wondered what goes into the pontoons, piles and berthing systems your marina relies on every day? This two-day study tour is about the infrastructure behind marinas. You'll go inside the facilities where it's designed, engineered and made.

You'll visit three of the region's leading marine infrastructure businesses, Bellingham Marine, Marine Structures and Wagners, and follow the whole journey from the factory floor to finished marinas and wharves.

Who should attend?

  • Operators planning a future redevelopment who want to understand their options before going to market
  • Anyone facing major maintenance or upgrade projects who wants to know how infrastructure is built, how long it lasts and what to look for
  • Anyone who wants a better understanding of how marina infrastructure works, from engineers and designers to contractors, suppliers and marina staff

What you'll see

  • Bellingham Marine & Marine Structures factory tours: watch pontoons and marina infrastructure being manufactured, and hear from the teams who build them
  • Wagners at Pinkenba Wharf: tour the world's first major Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) and composite fibre marine wharf structure
  • Four Gold Coast marinas in one morning, including superyacht and mega yacht berthing
  • Direct access to the experts: talk with facility managers, engineers and manufacturers throughout the tour
  • Networking drinks and canapés with delegates, hosts and industry partners
