ILCA Master European Championships 2026 at Yacht Club de La Baule - Day 3

by Agustín Argüelles 24 Sep 05:50 PDT 21-25 September 2026

Day 3 began with a short postponement ashore. The Delta flag was raised at 12:30, but unstable wind on the course forced a further postponement out on the water, which lasted until 15:00. When the breeze finally arrived, both courses got racing under way, with winds varying between 4 and 8 knots.

The conditions did not last for the ILCA 6 fleet, however, and the wind died soon after the start, forcing race officers to abandon racing on that course. The ILCA 7 fleet fared better, with a steadier 6-9 knots allowing them to complete one race before the breeze faded there too, right after the start of a second race.

All sailors were back ashore by around 17:00, for a meal and some rest ahead of the final two days of competition.

With five races now on the scoreboard for the ILCA 7 and four races for the ILCA 6 after three days of racing, here are the provisional leaders in all Masters categories:

Three races are scheduled for tomorrow, with the first possible warning signal at 09:00. All races can be followed live through the tracking system.
